Ongoing classes, Saturdays at 1:45 pm.
$100 monthly fee. Once a week. 2 hours per week.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Professional Vocal Performance Class with Chondell Leland

Learn how to make proper vocal selections for auditions, the
proper dress for each type of audition, stage performance,
etc. We will focus on artist developement, and everything you need to know about the performance
aspect of singing, as well as vocal technique. In addition, the proper care and
feeding of the voice, and everthing you need to know about vocal health.
All types of music are accepted, except for opera.

CHONDELL LE LAND BIO:
Chondell Le Land has had a career in Las Vegas for the last 11 years including performances at the Bellagio, MGM, Mandalay Bay, Rio, Palms and Montecarlo lounges, etc. In that time she has built up a repertoire of impressive performance skills, and considers the stage her second home.
The offspring of a music teacher and a gospel singer, the stage was her destination from birth. Mom gave private voice and piano lessons in their home, played piano for the church, and arranged vocals for theatrical productions and choruses with Chondell in tow. If she had not chosen to study, she surely would have learned by osmosis.
During her youth Chondell studied a number of styles of dance, theatre, and voice training. Her technique was always strong, thanks to her mother, but the performance was not there. Then she met one of the most influential people in her life, Dr. Jaquelin Peoples. She emphasized vocal health, the importance of breath, and let Chondell know that people do not only hear with their ears, but also with their eyes. Chondell had a turning point. During this time, she transitioned form singer to performer.
After high school Chondell attended State university of New York at Fredonia, for voice, and trumpet. After a few semesters though, she realized that she needed to perform right then. At the tender age of 19 to her mother’s horror she packed up and moved to Vegas. She started performing on the strip about 2 months after she got to Vegas and hasn’t stopped.
Since moving to Sin City, Chondell has performed with Reggae, Rock, Pop, and R & B bands. She has done Motown tributes and Tina Turner impersonations. She has been in bands that opened for Taylor Dayne, Erika Badu, Floetry, and Musiq. She has performed with Vince Neal for a VH1 special.  She has been a Singer, Singer/dancer, lead and backup vocalist. Her credits also include vocal arrangement and musical director for show and lounge bands. In addition to the stage, she is also an accomplished studio singer, songwriter, and arranger.
