We seek Writers for the Neon Venus Art Theatre Magazine

We are looking for writers who:
-love Las Vegas
-love seeing shows, music concerts and attending art galleries in Las Vegas
-are interested in the arts and entertainment in general.
If you had a terrific time at a Las Vegas show, either at a comedian’s show, a rock show, at a fine arts gallery showing, etc., please let us know about your experience.
As a secondary subject, we will also publish articles that focus on international art (music, fine arts, TV, film, etc). Please contribute what you can, even 2 or 3 paragraphs can make a world of difference in the experience of a Las Vegas newcomer or regular traveler. For the enjoyment of art fans around the world, we will also include book reviews, movie reviews, etc.
The Neon Venus Art Theatre Magazine starts out with the life of the independent artist, as told by the band Neon Venus and their blog. From there we will cover activities at the venue, and then arts and entertainment in Las Vegas and the Strip. Auxiliary articles will focus on art around the world, be it commercial or fine art themed.
Submission policies
Please do not submit any material previously published in print or on the Web. Also, you may just submit your article or you can also develop an article proposal with a brief summary of your article and key points.
Send us your photo and bio along with your article.
We’ll appreciate any promotion you may be able to do for your writing through your own website.

Please feel free to recommend a subject or an idea for an article that you consider would be a related angle for our magazine.
Columns are Reviews
If you are interested in writing a column for the Neon Venus Art Theatre please send us a theme. Regarding reviews, though we prefer new products for reviews, we are also very interested in books and films that you feel still have great value to our readers. This could be either books that they can find at their local bookstore or films available on DVD. You may also attach graphics and photographs to your email. Make sure they are sized to fit web standards.
The Editing Process
Articles submitted will be screened and edited by our editors. Our editing is minimal, mostly to fix any grammar mistakes and/or misspellings.
If the editor’s revisions to an article are minor, we may publish it directly, only notifying the writer when it goes live. However, sometimes the editors will email the edited version of a story to the writer for their approval or for rewriting.
We only accept positive reviews in our website. By that we mean to please submit articles on shows, concert and records that you like and recommend our readership.
Standard Benefits
You will receive exposure in the form of the publishing of your creative writing, a byline, and profile including links to contributors’ home pages, etc.
Plus you will be given an ad on your page, and the profits from that ad will be yours.

All published material written by any volunteer writer of the NVAT is jointly copyrighted with All Rights Reserved by the Neon Venus Art Theatre and the author(s).
Authors may republish their articles in English or in any other language on their own personal site or portfolio site. A link to the Neon Venus Art Theatre is encouraged.
Republication
Full compensation for republication is given to the original author at fair market value (~$0.20 per word), if this is approved by our editors and the writer(s). In such case, link or credit to the Neon Venus Art Theatre Magazine is required. Credit to the original author is required as well.
