A Website Created by Best Friends

I actually meant and wanted this to be the very first blog in this site.

Because I did want to dedicate this site to my friend Jaquie.

We met many years ago when we were freshman students at the Ohio State University.

Jacquie and I probably met walking down the hallway of our dorm, as we were neighbors at the all female student dorm called Canfield Hall in OSU.

She literally had a room next to mine.

She was one of the most lively, sweet, happy people I had ever met in my life.

Every time I saw her she was wrapped up in laughter, beauty and an amazing aura of sheer friendliness.

I would say that we became fast friends and enjoyed each’s company a whole lot.

We certainly didn’t know then where life would take us.  I had no idea that I would start a band and end up in Las Vegas and I’m pretty sure she didn’t know that she would be an internet guru (living in Australia) since we didn’t know the internet even existed!  Did it exist then even if just to a few people?  I don’t even know.

In any case, when I started my band, a couple of years after we had graduated from college, Jacquie was one of my strongest allies and supporters.  Here I was, telling her that I had started a musical adventure (which most people will tell you what a crazy nut you are!) and she was living my dream in her soul, imagining and wishing it for me, and above all, offering to help.  I’m still to this day, in absolute gratitude for her generous giving of good vibes and support and straight pure work on behalf of my band.

After I discovered the internet (at a CMJ music conference in NYC, I guess those can really help!), she jumped in the bandwagon and created for me a beautiful website.  That was 10 years ago, and today, she also has created another beautiful vision for our band and mantains our informational center updated and in good shape.

So this site is brought to you by my friendship with Jacquie.  We decided to do a theatre site, band website in one and to also make it into an open forum for artists to express themselves and for writers to publish stories about art.

And before I end this blog today I would also like to tell you more about my friend Jacquie.

She has a wonderful site of her own called ‘Irrepressible Tangent’ and writes a great blog full of her personal charm.   She has recipes, book reviews and daily tellings of her life.

I’m so glad to see her involved in an artistic venture.  It’s wonderful.  She’s such a gift to share.

And her husband writes too, especially about sports.

Jacquie is also a cancer survivor and has written about her experiences healing from it.

So here’s my love to my gal friend of years…whom I met probably about this time of the year, years ago.  She is one of the reasons my memories of Ohio State University are so vivid.  And here’s to friendship, a wonderful gift for us on earth to share.
