It takes a viliage to raise a child, and there’s no doubt that it takes a lot of those same villagers to pull off a new theatre in town. We do seek volunteers to help us drop off promotional materials at libraries, art supplies stores as well as music stores. Volunteers could also post flyers at cofffe houses, etc. We also need volunteers to help create newsletters and or flyers and posters for our concerts. All help is greatly appreciated! Please call us at 702-787-2481. Thank you!

3rd Street Revolution
August 4, 2008
3rd Street Revolution
What I appreciate about 3rd Street Revolution Gallery is the owners’ stance against war and oppression. Ezequiel Lee Orona (Lee) and Juan Ybarra (John). the artists/owners make no bones about their political stance. “Fin War”- End War! Art in gallery represents owners’ stance on war & oppression.
\”EL FIN”- End War: Wall represents owners’ stance on war & oppression
These two are the nicest guys you’d ever want to meet. They are both very imaginative sculptors and painters. The work in the gallery is vivacious and original. These are pieces to wake you up. Art is best used to enliven your space–to add colors, dimension, and opinion. I like art to have a point of view. I want it to take me into the artist’s mind and to challenge me to see something that I have never thought to notice.
A very powerful, moving wall collection
One of the walls in the gallery- bright and vibrant.
Go to 3rd Street Revolution Gallery and take some time on each piece. You will be educated and transformed. Peace.

Cob4lt Blu3
August 4, 2008
Cob4lt Blu3 on the corner of 3rd St and Imperial is one of my favorite galleries in town. It is situated in a very fortunate corner space with two large windows that allow you to see the world inside. The lights are left on after sundown so that you can experience the gallery night and day, even when it’s closed.
Eddies Place: Cob4lt Blu3 Gallery
The artist/owner is Ed Dominguez, whom I know as “Eddie.” Eddie’s art is like his personality–joyous and thoroughly alive. His love of Las Vegas (a very singular city) shines through. The paintings are colorful and larger than life. People are stretched tall and buildings are inviting and embracing. Eddie has the power to make you look again at life. Maybe the way he sees it is really how life is–fantastic!
“Deco Charleston”- Ed Dominguez, Loving Living in Las Vegas Series”Lake Las Vegas”- Ed Dominguez, Loving Living in Las Vegas Series
“The Embrace”- Ed Dominguez, Loving Living in Las Vegas Series
I personally feel blessed to be around Eddie. He is always full of positive energy. He needs to create the way a bee needs to make honey. Thus, he is prolific and is always looking forward to his next creation. I expect a great future for Cob4lt Blu4. This is a must see gallery in Las Vegas.
Art Changes Las Vegas
July 17, 2008
by Peter Valentino
I walked into 3rd Street Revolution Art Gallery after being at the First Friday area near the Funk House, last Friday, July 4th. Lee, one of the owner’s of the Gallery, introduced me to a lovely and intelligent couple who were upset about the changes to the First Friday festivities. I have heard this a lot– that the new presentation of First Friday is off-putting. “Too many fences and guards” many say and “paying $2.00 at the entrance is no good” [Read more]

Thank You Letter to Las Vegas Mayor, Oscar Goodman
July 1, 2008
We sent this letter to Oscar Goodman after our meeting with him.
Dear Oscar Goodman,
We’d like to thank you for having given us a meeting with you and allowing
us to present you with our idea of having an Arts District that is more
integrated with the Strip. We see the possibilities of making the Arts
District more of a Las Vegas attraction.
As per your suggestion, we did look for more information on 18B,
and found more details about the founders and organization behind
First Friday. We are in contact with Cindy Funkhousen, Dick Geyer
and Jack and Carolyn Solomon. Hopefully, along with your efforts to
better downtown, as well as the efforts of others who care about the
Arts District, we are moving toward the beautification of this extremely
important area of Las Vegas. It will be a safer and more productive area
for Artists and for the other businesses sprouting here, as well as for
investors, tourists and locals.
